getting shit done

Day 2 of mat leave….yesterday I woke up feeling so refreshed and ready to go.  I think my brain and body knew that it could now chill out.  I was so productive and raring to go and didn’t sit down until 7pm.  This nesting instinct is crazy.  Gym session, meeting for a future prospect, food shopping, laundry (which I NEVER do) then I prepped Chris’s 23 Protein balls, Protein muesli bars, stewed pears, and dinner for the next 2 nights.  Ok I’m not going to lie – by 7pm I was absolutely knackered so I won’t be doing so much every day otherwise it will defeat the purpose of having this lovely 6 weeks off, but it felt so good to get so much done – and do things for Chris as well.  `

Today however – was pretty busy also. This morning I went and tried out a mums and bubs class at Firmbutts Fitness in Port Melbourne.  A lovely mum on Instagram – @frankielovezara invited me along. It was fab – and great to be in a class of mums.  There were 3 bubs there either joining in, getting used as weights or hanging around doing their own thing – and trying to copy their mums. Super cute.  The class actually killed me- which I love.  It’s great to get out of your comfort zone and do something a bit different.  I love going to the gym but I also love mixing it up a little from time to time. I will definitely be going back – my butt was on fire – and can’t wait till Bub is born so she can also come along.

Finished up the class and then this afternoon looked after my besties 20 month old boy – Velasco.  OMG he just so bloody cute.  I know it was only a few hours by a huge shout out to pregnant mummas out there with toddlers.  I am exhausted.  We have stairs in our house and all he wanted to do was go up and down – and up and down…..ok little man Aunty Danni is very preggo over here.  It was so fun though and seeing Chris play with him was just adorable – imagining what it’s going to be like when he’s playing with our daughter melts my heart.  He is going to be the best dad and I’m so lucky he’s my baby daddy.   After Velasco’s nap, some lunch and some Wiggles time dancing away, it was time for a little walk.  Walking down the street in his little Adidas tracksuit was adorable but I have to say – today – for the first time all third trimester – I am pooped.  Done – need a nap – not moving from the couch – tired.

I feel like I have so much to do but I have 6 weeks – and have to remember that.  Right now this Mumma to be is having a nap.

Love and life
